As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, this lakeside gathering embraces a timeless red, white, and blue palette with a fresh, collected feel. Matouk’s Gisele tablecloth in a vibrant Schumacher print sets the tone in rich scarlet, while blue and red wine glasses from Estelle bring jewel-toned color to the table alongside a matching cake stand topped with a simple white cake crowned in strawberries and blueberries — a sweet nod to the colors and flavors of summer. Scalloped Matouk napkins tucked into Juliska’s Mystic Knot napkin rings add a crisp, nautical touch, layered with bamboo melamine plates from Ballard Designs and Beatriz Ball salad plates for an effortless mix of polish and ease.
A mixed green salad scattered with strawberries, blueberries, and crumbled feta captures the traditional tastes of the season, while festive red, white, and blue Bomb Pop-inspired beverages lend a playful holiday flair. At the center, a hand-painted basket by Savannah muralist Bob Christian overflows with summer blooms, creating a centerpiece that feels distinctly Southern. Playful strawberry cups from Park Place add the finishing touch as the lake glimmers in the afternoon sunlight.
